Revised Guest & Members Information Brochure ( side-2 )

UPDATED VALLEY HARMONY SINGERS GUEST & MEMBERS INFORMATION BROCHURE.

Our chapter has not updated their information brochure in several years.

This year 2023, I finally got around to revising several sections. On the cover is a chorus picture, and one of our oldest quartets, Bill's Bari Pie.

We also have our contact info., the address, time and day that we meet, and directions. On the same page is a bio of our Director, Tom Raffety.

On the inside of the brochure is the chorus history, what makes up a barbershop quartet, and the history of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Thank You!

On this day when we express our gratitude, we would like to thank our members, our families, our guests, our patrons, and all those who have supported us during the past two years of difficulty.  We have survived because of each and every one of you, and, with any luck, we will be again performing for you in the coming year.

THANK YOU, and may this day of reflection find you all well, and may we truly have a coming year to be thankful for in 2022.

We're Back!

This past Monday, October 11th, the Valley Harmony Singers members met in-person for the first time in two years.  Requiring Singers' masks that provide space between the mask and the singer's face whenever a member is in the rehearsal hall and limiting the rehearsal to members only, the chorus was able to sing with minimal distortion. For the next few rehearsals, in-person attendance will be limited to members, however a ZOOM link will also be provided for guests and members who are unable to attend.  All attendees were excited to be able to again hear and participate in four part barbershop harmony.

In Hi School Bob sang in the choir, where he formed his own quartet. While in ROTC Bob learned how to fly an airplane. He joined the USAF in 1958. After serving in the USAF Bob joined the LAPD in 1961. In 1976 Bob married his sweetheart, Linda.

Virtual Rehearsals to continue through September

The Valley Harmony Singers chorus has decided that our virtual rehearsals will continue on ZOOM through the month of September.  We will reevaluate whether to resume members-only in-person rehearsals at the end of the month, based on the availability of Singers' Masks for the entire chorus.  Even when we are meeting in person, we will continue to provide ZOOM for guests to join us virtually until we are able to welcome them to our meeting hall.

Chris Burns to Speak This Monday!

Chris Burns, from the Tampa Bay Heritage of Harmony Chorus, will spend the first part of this Monday's rehearsal speaking and guiding us through visual presentation, especially how to communicate the meaning and excitement of a song to our audience through facial expression.  Chris was a member of the Valleyaires a number of years ago, before he moved to Florida.
