Music Team meeting called to order at 7pm on 5/13/21.

First discussion item was the Virtual New Member Audition Process. Tom read an email from Membership VP Ben Marder regarding this subject. We have one potential new member at this time,(baritone)and the Team has been discussing this for the past month. The Section Leader, Mark Wolf, has been talking to the person about the audition process, and has set a date for the member audition to take place on Thursday, 5/20/21 at 7pm via Jamulus. The appropriate people to attend and make the final decision of the audition have been notified. When the decision has been made, the Membership VP will be notified.

The Team was reminded of the guest speaker, Chris Burns, that will attend our rehearsal on 6/28/21. Chris is from the Heritage of Harmony Chorus in Tampa Bay, Fla. His presentation will be directed at the "visual" presentation of performances. He will speak from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

The Team then discussed the Breakout Rooms. The Section Leaders must remind the section that the Section Leader is the only one to make comments to individuals after they perform the song. If others have comments to make, they are to send a "Chat" to the Section Leader to make the comment. Also, when the Section Leader is trying to demonstrate or explain to an individual a certain issue that needs to be worked or reviewed, the individual should listen to the Section Leader and not talk or sing over the comments being given. This is going to have to be a reminder to the section periodically.

We discussed the 5/24/21 rehearsal that will be half ZOOM and half JAMULUS. We have a few people that the Section Leaders are contacting to make sure they have been able to get connected on JAMULUS or need help getting set up. We will have a split session rehearsal on 6/1/21,(1st half ZOOM/2nd half JAMULUS same song)and then the Team will discuss how the previous sessions went and what the future format of the rehearsals will be.

Jeffery Bunch will be looking into setting up short warm-up sessions at rehearsals before we go to Breakout Rooms, etc.

Bob Karlin let the Team know that he is in the process of preparing a new CD that will have, what we are referring to as "Forever Songs", which he, Jeffery and I have discussed and decided will be songs that we will keep in  our repertoire. These are songs that we feel the chorus likes, performs well and songs we can pull out for performances whenever needed. We are also working on a "New/Old Songs" CD that will have some favorities that the chorus hasn't done in a while that we would like to bring back, and are audience favorites.

For the "Good of the Chapter"....everyone was looking for to our JAMULUS rehearsal session!!!!!!!!!
