The Music Team Meeting was called to order at 7pm on 11/11/21.
We discussed how everyone thought the live rehearsals were going. All thought the rehearsals were going ok, but had some suggestions of things we could do to add some fun to the rehearsals and also to discontinue some things. So, it was decided that anyone who has some suggestions as to what we could do to add some fun to the rehearsals should let Program VP and myself know of these things and we will fit them into the schedule on specific rehearsals. Everyone thought the warm ups were going ok, and to continue to have different types each week. It was also decided to discontinue using the electronic pitch pipe. Therefore, we will start using the regular pitch pipe for now.
We also discussed some plans for the future regarding the Covid protocols. This included things such as when we might discontinue having to wear the singers masks, spacing of the chairs and when we could allow guests to join us again. These subjects, when decided by the Music Team will then be brought to the Board, and if approved by the Board, will be brought to the membership for a final decision. We will not make any changes until all are comfortable with the decisions. We also discussed when our Zoom attendees may feel comfortable returning to live rehearsals. Nothing definite was decided about this, but when they walk in the door, we will all know. Of course some of these decisions will have to be approved by St. Marks.
Our Communications VP/Music Librarian, Bob Karlin, went over the new learning CD's that would be distributed to the chorus hopefully by the end of the year. He also went over a future Events Schedule for 2021/2022. He will go over the details at the Board Meeting.
Chorus Manager, Jeffery Bunch, gave us an update on his communications with previous performance contacts to let them know we were back and looking forward to performing for them in the future. He has not had and response as of now.
For the "Good of the Chapter", everyone was excited to be back live and looking forward to moving forward and getting back on the singing track again.
