VP Music & Performance Rpt. 3/10/22

The Music Team Mtg. was called to order at 7pm on Thursday, 3/10/22.

The Team discussed how they felt the rehearsals were going at this point. Everyone felt, including our Zoom attendees, that the rehearsals were going good. They liked the Warmups, the Quartets performing and thought everyone was having fun.

Again, we discussed the COVID mask mandates. As of now, masks are not required at our rehearsals. If you still want to wear a mask, you're welcome to do so. Also, we are now accepting guests at our rehearsals. We are still suggesting the guest attend their first meeting via Zoom. We want to get some new members in the Chapter, so please reach out to family, friends, co-workers and business acquaintances.

We discussed the financial status of the Chapter and talked about ways we could go about how to get some performances to bring some income our way. I asked if possibly we might want to see if there is someone in the chorus that might want to be an Events Chairman to try to get us some connections for performances. No decisions were made at this point. We will continue to look at this and let everyone know when we have put this in place.

We discussed if the Team felt the chorus was ready to do a show in the future. All but one Team member felt the chorus was ready. Therefore, the chorus will do the "Surf's Up" show, on Saturday, June 11th, at Forest Lawn Hall of Liberty at 2pm. It was also decided that some extra rehearsals will be necessary to get ready. In April, we will start running through the show songs each rehearsal. If anyone has any questions regarding the show, please see the Show Director, Bob Karlin.

The Team also felt our Program VP, Mark Singer, was doing a great job with our programs each week.

"Good of the Chapter".....everyone felt we are all doing a great job and having fun. That's what's it all about. So, keep it up!!!!!!
