The Music Team Mtg. was called to order at 7:15pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Due to various reasons, the were only four members of the team present.
We discuss future rehearsals, which were mainly about the next two rehearsals in July prior to the show on July 30th. We will start to present some new songs beginning with the first rehearsal on August 8th. These new songs are currently on the Learning CD's that all members have. The "What To Practice" rehearsal schedule for August will reflect which songs we will start working on.
We then discussed the upcoming July 18th & 25th rehearsals. We will run through the entire show with actor lines and sing through all songs. Performing quartets will not perform their sets at these rehearsals. The starting time for these two rehearsals is 7pm. This will give us time to make sure we will be able to get through the entire show. We need the set-up crew to be at the church a little early to make sure we are ready to start on time. Bob Karlin will be sending out Marching Orders for the day of the show with call times for the sound crew, venue set-up crew and members. If anyone has any questions regarding the show, it is highly suggested that they be asked NOW, and not on the day of the show.
We discussed future performances at the Encino Farmer's Market. At this point, because of the weather, we are not planning to do any performances at the Market until probably sometime late summer. We haven't hear from the High Schools or Colleges regarding our quartet performances there at this time. We will probably hear from them in late August or September when school is back in session.
We discussed the Holiday Show which was on the calendar for December 3rd. We just found out that ONEgeneration will start their remodeling in November through December. So, we are in the process of looking for another venue at this time. If anyone has any venue suggestions, please let Bob Karlin know.
We are waiting to get verification of the District Convention dates and locations so we can set a date for the spring show in 2023.
"Good of the Chapter"....get out there and sell tickets for the show. I know once we get on that stage, and the curtain opens, we are all going to kick a_ _ and take names!
