The Music Team meeting was called to order at 7:05pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022. One member of the Music Team, Phil Lockwood, was absent.
We discussed the two dates for the Encino Farmer's Market performances 12/4 & 12/18. We will take a poll of the members to make sure we have a representative number of singers for both dates. We also discussed what the chorus will wear, depending on the weather. Details will follow after the show.
We discussed the situation regarding the Guest Music Books and how they are put together. Jack Press, President, will discuss this with Ben Marder, Membership VP.
We discussed the plan for how many major performances to plan for in 2023. There were several ideas brought up and the final decision of the Team was that it would be best to have a performance in the spring or early summer and a performance in the fall. This will be discussed at the Board of Directors meeting and a final decision will be made at that time.
We discussed the details of the upcoming show on November 19th. The Chorus Manager will send out Marching Orders the week of November 14th, and a reminder email on November 18th. The Team was also reminded the rehearsal on November 14th will start at 7pm. The hall set up crew should arrive at 6pm if possible. An email has been sent to the members reminding them of this and a reminder will be sent out before the rehearsal.
We discussed getting started on plans for Valentine's Day performances by Chapter quartets. This is a money making function for the chorus and we need to get organized and make sure quartets are available to do this. This also should be discussed at the Board of Directors meeting.
For the "Good of the Chapter".....let's all try to do whatever we can to help the Chapter grow and bring in more singers.
