The Music Team meeting was called to order at 7:15pm on 3/9/23. All members, except Kathie Edwards, were present.
Everyone was happy with the way the rehearsals are going and looking forward to see what new things the future rehearsals will contain.
The Team discussed the uniform and Marching Orders for the upcoming 3/25 performance. The Marching Orders should be distributed shortly. Also, we will have a dress rehearsal at the 3/13 rehearsal. We also talked about the hall setup for the 3/13 and 3/20 rehearsal. We will use the risers for these rehearsals. We will only be rehearsing on the risers for the first half. The second half we will still be working on the package, in the chairs, in the areas that need to be refined, plus work on visual.
I went over the information Ben received about the new facility, ONEgeneration's Daycare Center's Community Room. This is the facility that is on the property where they have the Encino Farmer's Market. I'm sure Ben will go over this info in his report to the Board.
Communications VP, Bob Karlin, and Show Chairman of the Spring Fling/Ice Cream Social on 5/13, let us know of the talent he has lined up so far for this event. He is in the process of getting a flyer for this in the next few weeks. Once we get final details he will inform the chorus.
Chorus Manager, Jeffery Bunch, will be putting together a costume committee with two more people to look into costumes for future performance for the chorus. As the committee comes up with ideas for this, they will pass on the info to the Chorus. He also mentioned that the two schools we have set for a quartet to visit their music classes and explain and demonstrate BS four part A capella harmony is set for mid-April at this point.
We discussed starting up the Polecat Program again. Mark Wolf will chair this, with help from Jeffery Bunch an Ron Malkin. Both Jeffery and Ron have handled the Polecat Program in the past. When the process is set up, the chorus will be given the information of how the program will work.
"Good of the Chapter".......keep doing what we're doing and really put emphasis on getting our name out to the communities and building the number of singers in the Chapter.
