Music Team Meeting

The Music Team met on 2/11/21. All team members were present.

We discussed the Breakout Rooms and other things we could do in the rooms, i.e. running thru two songs instead of one, have the Section Leaders have another song in mind to work if they finish the rotation early, have two part rooms, etc. We will implement some of these changes in the next few months.

We are also in process of looking over a list of new songs suggested by the Music Team. At this time we are checking to see what tools are available to us for learning these songs. Once we have that info, we hopefully will add these new songs to the next learning CD that will be produced. No date for the CD has been determined at this time.

We discused the member song testing procedure. This process will be the responsibility of the Section Leaders. If the member is in Test Ready mode for a song or songs, they should notify their Section Leader to be able to move to the Performance Ready stage. If anyone has any questions regarding the procedure, they should notify their Section Leader.

The FWD Leadership Seminar was held via ZOOM on Sat., February 6th. Myself and Bob Karlin attended the VP Music & Performance session. From comments and input as to what other chapters are doing at this time, we are still pretty much doing more virtually than many other chapters.

Our guest spearker, Katie McDonald from BHS for 2/15 had to cancel, so we will find out what dates she has available in April and try again.

For the "Good of the Chapter", everyone felt the chapter was doing a great job during this time and thought all were pleased with what we are doing.
